In this activity, students practice seeing sums of seven using two addends and creating sums of ten using three. Developing number flexibility within ten is important, and this activity offers opportunities for students to practice addition as they explore the number puzzle using flips and turns of a 3-D cube. There are different paths to follow as students explore investigative questions about the possible number sentences and patterns that emerge.
