Overview

This workshop is designed for educators who are interested in deepening their understanding of the youcubed teaching approach. This teacher-focused professional learning experience goes beyond the evidence for conceptual, mindset-infused mathematics to explore what classroom implementation looks like in practice—along with clear next steps for teaching conceptually and supporting student growth.

Over two interactive days of live online professional development, you will learn from Dr Jo Boaler, Cathy Williams, and the youcubed team, and collaborate with other educators as you strengthen your ability to bring these practices into your classroom right away.

Each workshop includes:

  • Sessions led by Dr Jo Boaler and Cathy Williams
  • Practical examples of how conceptual, mindset-centered teaching has been achieved in diverse classrooms
  • Detailed guidance on teaching moves, teacher questions, tasks, classroom culture, and mathematical messaging
  • Opportunities to work in small groups with expert facilitation to deepen understanding and plan for implementation

The workshop begins at 9:00 am each day and ends at 3:00 pm each day.
